Drake absolutely lost it when he saw one of his fans groping a woman in the audience

A step in the right direction.

OVER THE LAST few months, we’re seeing more and more acts taking a stand against sexual harassment at their gigs.

British metal band Architects stopped their show in August to tell an audience member that his behaviour was “f**king disgusting and there is no place for that shit.” Last moth, rapper Loyle Carner kicked an audience member out of his show after they made sexist comments towards his support act. A few weeks later, Irish band Otherkin called out the inappropriate behaviour of an audience member too.

Now, even Drake is fed up with that kind of carry-on.

Last night he was performing in a club in Sydney when he noticed a fan disrespecting the boundaries of another audience member. He wasn’t having a bar of it.

He paused mid-performance of the song Know Yourself and addressed the fan “Yo, stop that shit.”

If you don’t stop touching girls, I’m going to come out there and f**k you up. I’m not playing with you.

The audience immediately screamed in approval of Drake calling out this individual.

Hopefully other high profile artists follow his example. Sexual harassment at concerts doesn’t only affect fans in the audience. Artists also put up with a lot of extremely inappropriate behaviour from fans.

During the height of her fame, Iggy Azalea explained that she had to stop crowd surfing because fans kept groping and violating her. Last month a disturbing video of a fan groping Harry Styles while he was on stage also emerged.
