Oxegen fans on Facebook learn that change is hard

Some of the most pained comments from the festival’s Facebook page.

OXEGEN HAS BEEN confirmed for this year, and the lineup has been announced.  It’s certainly changing direction, what was once ‘Europe’s favourite rock n roll weekend’ will now feature primarily pop and dance acts.

What have the fans made of this?  Well, change is hard, and their comments on Facebook are evidence of that.

Some people are a little dramatic

Some think they have an idea of what would be a better direction for the festival

Others are coming up with clever new names for the festival

Other people want to take action

Some are angry and lashing out

Garry had a clever label for the lineup

But Dylan begged to differ

Others really didn’t care about the lineup at all

Some people think their fellow music fans need to move on

All in all, the atmosphere on the Oxegen Facebook page is currently a little tense.

Change is hard, but we’re sure they’ll come around.
