Domhnall Gleeson revealed that he doesn’t like the fame side of his job. He also admitted to being a complete mammy’s boy.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, he said that there are downsides to his job he just has to deal with.
Being well known in public is still not my favourite thing, but I understand how it goes and I want to work.
He also said he’s an out and out mammy’s boy.
My mom’s just a brilliant woman. She’s amazing. I couldn’t have a better mom. You know, Irish guys and their mothers is a thing. We’re all mad about our moms, but I’d take mine over any other one.
Domhnall also said he felt protective of his dad back at the height of his fame.
The first time I experienced fame was as a teenager, out with my father and seeing how people reacted to him differently. And I remember being very protective of him.
He said the experience of people coming over during dinner to ask for autographs meant he and his brothers would almost try to cover him up from sight.
It was weird. I was coming at it from the other point of view as a teenager. I’ve been the one saying ‘Leave him alone! He’s ours!’

Louise Redknapp explained why she is no longer living with her husband Jamie. Louise appeared on Strictly Come Dancing last year, which she claims helped her think about herself again.
Speaking to The Telegraph, she said:
He’s an amazing man and we’ve had 20 good years together. I know he’s trying to understand that I do need to do this.
People might look at me and think I’ve got everything, but a sweeping staircase and designer handbag doesn’t really do it for me.
I feel I’m coming back to who I really am. I have spent most of my life pleasing everyone else, worrying about being judged and thinking I should always do the right thing by staying at home, looking after my kids and my husband. I lost myself.
She explained that Strictly gave her a new found confidence.
I’d become a Stepford Wife, wanting to be perfect at it. It was only when I agreed to do Strictly Come Dancing that I realised I couldn’t just go back to that.
The couple have two children Beau and Charlie and aren’t planning a divorce as of yet.
