YOU COULD IGNORE the ‘any special requests’ question when booking a hotel… or you could do this.
Seth Freedland recently booked a room the very snazzy Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica, California – he says when he made the booking, he was asked if there was anything else they could do to make his stay “more comfortable”.
Well actually… Yes. Yes there was. Writing on Facebook, Seth explained:
I thought about it, and thought about what might delight the girlfriend, and asked if they might be able to place a few framed photos of Jeff Goldblum in the room.
Naturally, he didn’t think they would honour this request, but lo and behold…
Three perfect photos of Goldblum, tasteful frames, excellent placement… Brilliant work, Huntley Hotel.
Speaking to the Huffington Post, Seth said Goldblum is his girlfriend Amy’s celebrity crush:
Specifically, she’s a big fan of Independence Day-era ‘heroic’ Goldblum. I’m more of a Big Chill Goldblum man myself, but you really can’t go wrong.
Amy looked fairly pleased with the additions to the room, alright – Seth admitted that they took the pictures back home with them after their stay.
Now that’s customer service.
