Mint crisp, no way! This has made my morning, I’m off to Lidl

My dad used to work in Wilton candy delivering boxes around the country, many a box would be minus a couple of bars. I became efficient at taken them out of the bottom without leaving any evidence.

They have the Caffrey snow balls in a pack of 6 too, bought them at 6.45pm on Wed last, gone at 6.52pm…….was trying to keep them a secret but the pack of 14 bars has outed everything

I think I have a poll idea, Caffreys Macaroon or Wiltons Macaroon. My vote is for Caffreys.

When I was in 4th class we had s teacher who was obsessed with Macaroons, she’d check out everyone’s lunch until she found someone with a Macaroon & stand there talking about how much she like them until the poor kid would have to give it to her!

There is a lovely little shop on Townsend street that sells loads of the old style sweets, including these ones. The old ones are the best!

Used to live on the old klipso bar when it was real toffey covered in chocolate. Then it was changed to that glassey toffee and half the size. Anybody remember the name of the little shop facing the new Coombe hospital in Cork St where they were sold? I think it was …..Dairy……

65c for a macaroon which is much smaller than it was when I could get them for 10p. If only they weren’t so tasty

Finally….someone has resurrected one of my all time favourites…Klipso bars….mmmmmmmm…..what time do LIDL open in am?…..wonder is there customer quotas on these…..I’ll tell them it’s for a large kids party ( and when is next delivery in?)
