Hamas delegation will return to Cairo with 'response' on Gaza truce
Egypt, Qatar and the US have been trying to mediate an agreement between Israel and Hamas for months.
A Hamas delegation today left Egypt and returned to Qatar to discuss the proposal, saying it is keen to respond "as quickly as possible".
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said today he is hopeful Hamas would accept the "extraordinarily generous" offer.
The US military is building a pier to help boost humanitarian supplies into Gaza, an effort that the Pentagon said will cost Washington at least $320 million.

Israel pulled its forces out of the southern Gaza Strip on Sunday “to prepare for future missions”, the country’s defence minister said.
Egyptian state-linked media reported that talks in Cairo aimed at brokering a truce had made "significant progress".
However, Israel's Ynet news outlet cited an unidentified Israeli official as saying that "we still don't see a deal on the horizon".
A senior Hamas official meanwhile told AFP that "we cannot speak of concrete progress so far".
