Is Amanda Brunker running for President?... it's The Dredge

All of the day’s celebrity dirt.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

Is Amanda Brunker running for President? Okay, maybe not.

On Saturday night, Brunker appeared on Saturday Night with Miriam alongside a number of other former beauty queens to talk about their days as Miss Ireland.

After the show, Brunker posted a selfie with Miriam O’Callaghan and Panti Bliss, and announced that all three would be running for the Aras — a tongue-in-cheek reference to Miriam’s rumoured presidential aspirations.

Georgia Salpa has changed her name. The model has taken her husband’s name and will henceforth be known as…

Georgia Penna.

The model, who married Joe Penna in May, has changed her name on Twitter and Instagram, so it must be official.

Welcome to the world, Georgia Penna! Please stay out of prison.

George Michael has taken to Twitter to deny newspaper reports that he was addicted to crack cocaine. Over the weekend, The Sun alleged that the singer had been battling drug addiction in a Swiss rehab clinic.

A wife of the singer’s cousin told The Sun that she was “petrified” the singer would die.

However, reps for the singer have staunchly denied the reports.

Whilst it is our general policy not to comment on private matters, we would in this instance note that these highly inaccurate stories have been apparently provided to the press by the wife of a very distant family member, neither of whom has had any dealings with him for many many years. It is therefore unsurprising that they are so incorrect. Beyond this we have no further comment to make as the matter is now in the hands of Mr Michael’s lawyers.

Michael then took to Twitter to clear things up himself. (3AM)
