Coronation St star cleared of abuse allegations

The claims about Michael Le Vell had been under investigation by police for the past three months.

CORONATION ST STAR Michael Le Vell, who plays Kevin Webster in the soap, has been cleared of abuse allegations laid against him.

The Crown Prosecution Service has decided there is not enough evidence for the case to go ahead, The Daily Mail reports today.

Le Vell (46) denied abuse allegations after being arrested on suspicion of ‘historic rape’ but not enough evidence was found to charge Le Vell.

After the allegations emerged, Le Vell split from his wife, Janette Beverley.

The couple were childhood sweethearts who had even starred in Coronation Street together at one point.
