Miriam O'Callaghan thinks it's 'funny' people care about how her hair looks... It's the Dredge

All the day’s celebrity dirt.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

Miriam O’Callaghan has responded to comments made about her on Gogglebox Ireland last week - but she thinks it’s funny, so don’t worry about her.

The first episode of the show proved very popular, but some viewers were bothered by the families’ comments about Miriam’s appearance (‘she’s looking well’, ‘her hair’s after booting down’) on Prime Time. (Goss.ie)

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Miriam said that as a female broadcaster, she’s just gotten used to people talking about how she looks:

You could be saying the most intelligent thing or asking the greatest question in the history of questions, but both myself and Sharon Ní Bheoláin got the same ‘she’s looking well’.

Gigi Hadid has encouraged girls to learn self-defence after she was attacked by a man on the street last week.

The man grabbed the model as she was leaving a fashion show in Milan – but she sorted him out with a swift elbow to the face.

In a piece for Lena Dunham’s Lenny newsletter, she wrote about how ‘muscle memory’ from playing volleyball helped her through her panic:

Honestly, I felt I was in danger, and I had every right to react the way I did. Practicing self-defence is important so that when you’re in the moment, reacting from muscle memory comes more naturally to you than freezing up.

Justin Theroux has spoken out about the Brangelina split, and while he can agree it’s ‘horrible’, he’d prefer if you didn’t bring wife Jen Aniston into it.

“As a child of divorce all I can say is that’s terrible news for those children and that’s all you can really say,” he told Business Insider.

He was less cagey about Aniston being roped into the discussion of the split, calling it ‘trash’.

It’s shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world.
