RAPPER NICKI MINAJ was obviously feeling flaithulach last night, and ended up promising to pay thousands of dollars in fans’ college fees.
It all began when a Twitter user jokingly asked Nicki to pay their tuition – and she said: Yeah, why not?
“Show me straight As that I can verify with your school and I’ll pay it… Dead serious,” she tweeted.
Over the next hour, she fielded dozens of requests from fans in need of money to pay for books and tuition – some even sent her their report cards to show that they were getting good grades:
While most of the pleas were for amounts under $1000, she did agree to pay $6000 to one fan who claimed to need it for food and accommodation (as long as he provided her with some proof).
By our rough calculations, she had pledged to pay over $22,000 by the time she stopped taking requests – and she’s going to do it again:
Let me make those payments tomorrow and see if I have any money left. I’ll do some more in a month or two.
