THREE WEEKS AGO, Penneys had Beauty and the Beast fans buzzing when they released a very special teacup to celebrate the film.
It was Chip – and it was adorable:
But, given the manic demand for the little mugs, Penneys and Primark in the UK have already sold out of them.
So, while they go about getting more stock in, they have a temporary solution:
These socks, saying: ”I wanted a chip mug but all I could get were these socks.”
Well played.
This might keep Chip enthusiasts sated until more of the actual cups come in
For those that went in specially looking for the cups, this is their only consolation
If you simply must get your hands on some sort of Chip cup, the Disney store on Grafton Street in Dublin are selling these slightly less convincing versions
The socks might do for now.
