Man films unbelievable footage of tornado tearing through trailer park

The tornado reached speeds of 120mph.

WHAT’S THE FIRST thing you’d do if you saw a tornado belting towards you…? Film it?

Dan Yorgason and his fellow oil workers had no basements to hide in when a twister went on a rampage through a nearby trailer park in North Dakota on Monday. Instead, they decided to go outside to get a proper look.

The group escaped in a truck, but not before capturing this amazing footage, complete with a tornado warning on the background radio.

Bit late.

Warning: STRONG language within. Seriously. No, really.

The rare EF-2 tornado logged peak winds of 120mph and was estimated to be about 100 yards wide. It struck the oil worker camp just south of Watford City and lasted for just 10 minutes.

According to the Associated Press, nine people were injured, including one 15-year-old girl who is critical but expected to survive. All were in their trailers at the time of the storm.

Yorgason said “There was literally nowhere to go. The tornado was coming down the hill along our only escape route. There was nowhere for us to go. It was crazy”.
