A mum, a disgraced TV presenter, a musician, and a teenager all cross paths on New Year’s Eve when they meet at a notorious suicide spot. They all agree they will be alive until Valentine’s Day, but some unexpected barriers pop up. Black comedy, based on Nick Hornby’s novel.
Thor (Channel 4, 8pm)

The Secret Agent (BBC 1, 9pm)
Just what you need. A new period drama. This one is based on the novels of Joseph Conrad and tonight we get part one of three. It’s about, you guessed it, a Secret Agent. We’re told fans of Sherlock will be all over it.

Louis Walsh appeared on Saturday Night With Miriam last night and said One Direction are OVER.

He also cast a bit of shade on Niall:
Niall Horan was in the right place at the right time, he’s the luckiest guy in the world and he knows that. They made a lot of money but it’s over now for them. I think Niall will do really well, and Harry.
His X Factor co-judge didn’t get off any easier.
She’s looking really well, she’s got a new face. It’s her third new face and it’s the best one yet. She’s had a bit of work done and she looks great. I saw it to her all the time, she doesn’t mind.
