win or lose

Carlow Rose Shauna Rae Lacey, Britney Spears and Liam Payne... it's our celeb winners and losers of the week

Some will win, some will lose.

DailyEdge praises those who rocked the week in celebland, while keeping a watchful eye on those who should just log off forever.

Losers

Liam Payne

Look nobody likes a bragger and given that Liam has been bragging about how much he likes sex he could probably do with being taken down a peg or two.

So what better way than to musically express myself as a young man growing up. I’m into it. I like it. It’s good.”

Liam mate, get a room. Actually, on second thoughts, maybe don’t.

Kendall Jenner

Sometimes you wonder if people think before they speak. Kendall Jenner obviously wasn’t when she made a rather entitled comment about being a model.

Since the beginning we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do, like, 30 shows a season or whatever the fuck those girls do. More power to ’em.”

Hmmm. Maybe don’t be bragging about you didn’t have to work as hard as other people to get where you are? Next.

Winners

Carlow Rose Shauna Rae Lacey

The Rose Of Tralee was packed with exceptional women from Waterford Rose Kirsten Mate Maher to Mayo Rose Rachel Gibbons. However, it was Carlow Rose Shauna Rae Lacey who won over the hearts of the nation and dragged the Rose of Tralee into the 21st century.

In her interview, Shauna spoke candidly about growing up with both of her parents battling heroin addiction and the death of her father Francis. She also wowed us all with her rendition of ‘Crazy World’ by Aslan which frontman Christy Dignan was impressed with too. Although she didn’t win, she’ll be remembered for a long time to come.

Britney Spears

[image alt="" src="http://cdn.thejournal.ie/media/2018/08/glaad-media-awards-los-angeles-3-296x269.jpg" width="296" height="269" title="" class="alignnone" /end]

Listen who doesn’t like to pick up some bits while they’re travelling? Britney was spotted getting the messages in Pavilions Shopping Centre in Swords following her sold-out gig on Monday evening in the 3arena. She headed to River Island before jetting off to the airport to carry on her tour.

She’s a winner for supporting local business and jobs obviously.

Whoever cancelled the Big Bang Theory.

Look I am obviously not delighted that Kaley Cuoco is losing her job. However, the Big Bang Theory ran on far too long and it needed to end. Also, it gave us Young Sheldon which I don’t recall any of us asking for.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out etc, etc.

Last week’s winners and losers: Ariana Grande, Doireann Garrihy, and Niall Horan.
