Here's the X Factor performance that got Dublin teenager Melanie McCabe a standing ovation

Louis Walsh had a cry, and all.

DUBLINER MELANIE McCABE is trying out on X Factor for the fourth time this year – and this weekend saw her make it through to the bootcamp stage.

She won a standing ovation from the Wembley crowd (well, at least some of them) at her ‘arena audition’ last night with a performance of David Guetta’s Titanium:

Earlier, Melanie – who has made it to the bootcamp stage twice before – had spoken about the high stakes for her in this year’s competition.

She said her family are in the process of losing their home, the Huffington Post reports, and she believes a successful run on the show could make a difference.

It could significantly change my life and my family’s life. We don’t really have a lot of money, like as I’m sure most families don’t, but we’re losing our house at the moment and I’m kind of at this point in my life when I feel like everything is falling down around me and I just want something good to happen.

Last night’s audition came after Melanie won across-the-board praise from judges Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh in her first performance.

She sang Rihanna’s Diamonds. And made Louis Walsh cry.
