Animal shelter uses Tinder to match abandoned dogs with new owners

AN ANIMAL RESCUE organisation in New York is hijacking Tinder and posting photos of abandoned dogs that wish to be adopted.

And it’s adorable.

Social Tees and The Barn at BBH created profiles for ten rescue dogs, modifying the age and genders to ensure they appeared as people were swiping through the app.

The initiative has led to 2,700 matches since it launched and has reportedly resulted in one adoption, but some users have been left a little bemused by the whole thing:
