LIVE TV IS notoriously unpredictable, as the crew of BBC Breakfast realised this morning.
Hosts Jon Kay and Rachel Burden introduced their next guest, heroic mountaineer Leslie Binns – except the man sitting on the couch beside them was not Leslie Binns:
“I think you have the wrong guest, sir.” Help. Heeeeeellp.
Burden’s attempt at diffusing the tension was less than masterful, too:
It’s ever so funny, I looked at this man and I thought, “He doesn’t necessarily look like a mountaineer.”
Thankfully, they all managed to laugh it off in studio, and Kay and Burden addressed the gaffe on Twitter.
Look, at least it’ll never be as bad as the time someone brought on a taxi driver instead of a technology expert. What a time that was.
