There's going to be a pub in London that only serves tea

But HOW?

FIRST, WE HAD a café dedicated to cereal. Now, London is getting a pub that only serves tea.

Brew is the brainchild of Alex Holland, a loose-leaf tea lover who is “on a mission to restore prestige to our national drink”.

Brew is a place which serves exceptional tea, but instead of a starkly-lit café it’s got the rich atmosphere of a pub.

The tea will even be poured from taps, like beer:

But alcohol is not completely off the menu – the pub will sell tea-themed cocktails like Green Tea and Oolong Martinis, as well as light food and cakes ‘matched to the flavour of the teas’.

Holland plans to open the first Brew in South London this autumn.

It may sound absolutely off the walls, but the project currently has 65% of the funds it needs to get off the ground (with the largest investment standing at £26,360).

A tea pub. It’s happening.
