And McGregor announced the news on Twitter and Instagram last night by throwing massive shade at his opponent:

McGregor is set to pocket around €100 million for the fight, but he will be the massive underdog going in given the fact that he’s an MMA fighter and this will be purely boxing – while the fight itself is coming in for all sorts of criticism, being deemed a “publicity stunt” in some quarters.
It’s set to take place on 26 August in Vegas… so expect plenty of chatter in the coming months.
