WHOEVER WATCHED THE sombre and tension-filled Drive – in which Ryan Gosling plays a stuntman pushed to the edge – and thought that it would work well as the opening credits for a cheesy 1980s detective show – well, frankly sir, we salute you.

Every detail in this works, but we’re going to single out the EPIC theme tune and Bryan Cranston as the comedy sidekick as being particularly good.
