Dublin lad's bike saved by a stranger's act of kindness

There are good people about.

HERE’S A REMINDER that there are some good people in the world – just listen to Dublin-based DJ Niall D’Arcy‘s story of shared an encounter with a very kind stranger.

D’Arcy was just about to leave for college earlier this week when he discovered his bike was missing. In its place, he found a note.

The note was from a do-gooder who said she’d noticed the bike wasn’t locked up properly, and had brought it into her own home for safekeeping.

D’Arcy told lifestyle website LovinDublin:

Before I looked at [the note] I was expecting that I was going to have to make some sort of Liam Neeson “I can tell you that I don’t have money, but what I do have…” type phone call to get my bike back.

He called the Gardaí, who confirmed the woman’s story, and went to pick the bike up - he told LovinDublin that he’s arranging a nice thank you gift:

I’ve gone and bought her a very nice bottle of red wine to thank her! I was so happy, and it’s deadly to see that there are lovely people around that would think to do this kind of thing for a complete stranger.

It just warms the cockles of your heart, doesn’t it?
