ED SHEERAN IS set to play a very special gig in Whelan’s, Dublin, later this month.

Rolling Stone reports that Ed will be the first to take the stage in the resurrected VH1 Storytellers series – he’s bringing the show to the iconic Dublin venue in just two weeks’ time, on January 24.

Whelan’s confirmed the news on Twitter:

According to Rolling Stone, Ed chose the venue as it is very close to his heart. Whelan’s is where he first saw Damien Rice play when he around 11 years old, on a night that “literally changed [his] life”.

Only 400 lucky fans will be able to snag tickets for the gig – keep an eye on the singer’s website for details.
