What's with that Irish accent in the new Avengers movie?

Well, that was unexpected.

THE AVENGERS AGE Of Ultron was released in Ireland yesterday.

Amongst all the action, a little Marvel Easter Egg popped up during the dramatic final showdown.

Irish cinema-goers may have been a bit amused, or baffled, as to what the deal was when Tony Stark’s Iron Man costume suddenly took on an Irish accent. We won’t spoil the movie, but there’s a reason Stark’s J.A.R.V.I.S program was replaced with Condon’s F.R.I.D.A.Y.

Still, people were confused.

Well, we have answers. The voice was Irish actress Kerry Condon, from Tipperary. Talking to RTÉ Ten about being part of the movie, she said:

To be in one of those blockbuster movies, it was a fun experience.

Detailed.

Have a listen to her here, you may recognise her from the likes of Intermission and Better Call Saul.
