DATING SHOWS ARE all the rage these days with the likes of First Dates and Married At First Sight attracting millions of viewers. Heck, even Blind Date is making a comeback.

Today MTV announced plans for an interactive celebrity dating show entitled Single AF. (Trendy name, guys.) Single AF follows seven celebrities as they look for love with the help of social media. Sounds like a recipe for some quality television.

Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson, Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham, Union J’s Casey Johnson, YouTube star Elliot Crawford and RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Courtney Act are among the single celebrities to be featured on the show.

Oh, and our very own Jedward.

In a promo video, the two brothers stated that they are looking for “cool, spontaneous people” and “someone who accepts us for all that we are, is up for a good time and shows us their personality one hundred percent”.

They then invited followers to “tag yourself” should they think they might be compatible with either of the brothers. (It’s not a two-for-one deal.) How romantic.

There’s even a special form you can fill out.

Jedward will be whisked around the world for a series of dates before the series culminates with a very special date in Paris.

The show will commence shooting next week with celebrities traveling from Cancun to Sydney as viewers weigh in on the dates through MTV’s social media accounts. The series will then air in November.

Per Variety:

“Single AF” will rollout June 26 through July 11 on MTV’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat accounts. The linear series will follow in November. The series will chronicle two weeks of dating adventures among young celebrities who will then bring their top dates to a castle in Paris to determine if they’ve “met their match.

Fortunately it looks as though things are off to a promising start for the boys…
