REJOICE, MAKEUP FANS! The much sought after US brand Kat Von D Beauty is now available in Debenhams.
If you’re new to the brand and not sure why this is making beauty lovers up and down the country shed tears of joy, here’s a little explainer.
Who’s Kat Von D anyway?
Kat Von D is a tattoo artist best known for her work on the reality TV shows Miami Ink and LA Ink – she’s tattooed people like Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, and Beyoncé.
In 2008, she launched her own makeup line with the US chain Sephora, which has since become a huge favourite of beauty bloggers.
What’s so good about it?
In keeping with Kat’s gothic look, the brand champions unusual colours and backs them up with great quality. The products are also vegan and cruelty-free.
It was also one of the first to hop on the matte liquid lipstick trend, and has an excellent shade range – there’s everything from brown to blue here:
The range has been snapped up by many an Irish gal visiting the States, and fans are absolutely delighted that it’s finally available here:

OK, I’m interested. Where should I start?
By far the most raved-about KvD product is the Tattoo Liner in Trooper (€20), a liquid eyeliner pen which a) is actually black and b) stays on as long as you want it to.
You should also dip in to the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks (€20), particularly the nude brown Lolita, which has gained cult status for being pretty much universally flattering.
Elsewhere, her Shade and Light matte eyeshadow palette (€45) has a really practical selection of shades in three ‘quads’ to create different looks:
