The family of the man who stalked Lily Allen for seven years has apologised to the singer, but say he needs help, not jail.
Allen spoke about the ordeal with Alex Grey in an interview with the Observer, saying it culminated with Grey breaking into her flat while she and her children were sleeping.
Grey was convicted of harassment and burglary earlier this month, and is due to be sentenced today.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, his mother said she was sorry for what happened to Allen, but jailing her son would make things worse. (Mirror)
