Dressing down

Comedian slated for last year's BAFTAs dress wore it again last night

And Sarah Millican looked only gorgeous.

COMEDIAN SARAH MILLICAN was nominated for a BAFTA last year, so she went out and bought herself a new frock.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to everyone’s taste.

Millican was subjected to a barrage of abuse about her sartorial choice, and wrote a piece for the Radio Times detailing her hurt in the wake of the mocking.

The comedian, who was nominated for The Sarah Millican Television Programme, wrote how she received “literally thousands” of messages on Twitter criticising her appearance.

She said that she was:

Fat and ugly as per usual.

And that she:

Cried. I cried in the car.

She also made a pledge to wear the dress again if she was ever invited to the BAFTA ceremony again.

Well she was invited again this year, because she was nominated again. However, she couldn’t attend because she had a gig on in Buxton.

That didn’t stop her from making her point though.
