The Simpsons killed off a 'lead character' last night, but Twitter was underwhelmed

SPOILERS AHOY.

SIMPSONS FANS HELD their breath last night as they tuned into the 26th season premiere to wave goodbye to the ‘major character’ executive producer Al Jean promised would be killed off the long-running show.

They were left less than impressed when the shock death was found to be that of… Krusty the Clown’s father  Rabbi Hyman Krustofsky.
