A new season of the documentary series following police detectives begins tonight. Things kick off with the case of a man who claims to have killed someone at a hotel. #24hoursinpolicecustody

Big Brother: Live Launch (3e, 8.30pm)

And on the other side of the spectrum, the 18th series of normal, non-celebrity Big Brother kicks off tonight. The theme is ‘culture clash’ which sounds potentially horrific. #bbuk

Everybody’s talking about: One Love Manchester

Ariana Grande’s benefit concert for the victims of the Manchester attack was the most-watched TV event of 2017 to date.

According to the ratings analysis site overnight.tv, 22.6 million people tuned in to watch at least three minutes of the gig, with an average audience of 10.9 million.

More than £2 million was raised for the British Red Cross during the show, which will go towards those injured and bereaved in the attack. Bravo to all involved.
