"Longest queue I've ever seen" - the search for 8,000 Vikings extras begins in Dublin

The TV series is looking for a wide range of people for its next season.

EARLIER THIS MONTH the production team behind the TV series Vikings put out a call for a serious number of extras; 8,000 to be exact.

And today, the Dublin leg of those auditions has brought a colossal queue to Temple Bar.

Extras co-ordinator Stephen Kirk told DailyEdge.ie that the range of extras they are looking for is “huge”, but clarified that the 8,000 extras will not be required for one scene, but rather over the course of the entire sixteen-episode shoot.

The production team is looking for people from all ethnic backgrounds, guys with long hair and beards, women with natural hair colour and ‘sporty types’.
