IF YOU GO to a gig, you would think that you’d surely recognise the person you’re seeing, right?
Not in this case.
After a gig the other night, DJ Wilkinson ended up in a lift with a young woman. After noticing she was carrying a towel, he asked her where she got it from.
“It’s Wilkinson’s! He threw it at me!” she replied, completely oblivious to the fact that she was in fact talking to the man himself.
Wilkinson uploaded a video of the awkward encounter on Instagram and wrote, “When you DJ for an hour, throw your towel at them and they still don’t recognise you next to them in a lift.”
It’s a hard life.
The girl later came forward on Facebook and apologised for not recognising him.
Fortunately for her, Wilkinson doesn’t hold any grudges and offered her tickets to his London gig in April.
All’s well that ends well.
