LATE LAST YEAR came the exciting news that Birds Eye were bringing Potato Waffles to Oz.
A campaign by Mullingar man Brian Nooney meant that Irish ex-pats would no longer have to suffer the pain of fried eggs without a bed of delicious waffly goodness.
From January the boxes of waffles began appearing in stores across Australia, and slowly but surely sightings have been reported across the country.

Birds Eye Australia has warned waffle seekers that they should check with stores before venturing out to buy a few boxes as “stock levels tend to fluctuate” with demand.
