HUNDREDS OF FESTIVALGOERS were left in the dark at Electric Picnic last night after the power went out during Bonnie Tyler.

The headline show – which took place at the Electric Ireland Power House tent – suffered a power outage for several minutes after the 1980s hitmaker took to the stage.

One eyewitness told DailyEdge.ie there were chants of “ESB! ESB!” from the crowd during the outage.

However, it was resolved after a few minutes. Electric Picnic’s promoters said in a statement:

We have fully investigated the situation and there was a temporary cut to supply at the event. Our engineers were on site and resolved the situation within minutes, allowing the performance to continue.
