Buckfast cans will NOT be sold in Ireland

We’re up all night to get Bucky… NOT!

STAND DOWN FOLKS.

Buckfast in cans isn’t happening here any time soon.

The news emerged at the weekend that the famous tonic wine is being made available in 25cl cans in the UK.

The ears of Cans By The Canal enthusiasts across the land pricked up as a long, hazy Bucky summer stretched out before them.

However, a spokesperson for Buckfast’s Irish distributor Findlater Wine and Spirit Group told DailyEdge.ie that:

There are no plans in the short term to distribute the cans in Ireland.

When pressed,  and asked if that simply means there are no plans at all to distribute the 25cl tins, we were told:

No. No plans.

Oh.
