Charlie Sheen rant brings an end to Two and A Half Men TV series
CHARLIE SHEEN MAY have gone too far this time with a verbal rant at the producer of popular television show Two and A Half Men resulting in it being cancelled.
CBS have confirmed they have cancelled production of the series for the rest of this season because of Sheen’s comments in which he called creator Chuck Lorre “a turd” and a “clown” in a bizarre interview on the Alex Ross show, reports TMZ.
The decision came just days before Sheen was due to return to the set of the series after a stint in rehab earlier this month.
Two and A Half Men is one of CBS’ most successful comedies and regularly attracts big audiences.
Sheen has already reacted to the decision, with a letter to TMZ in which he rages against Lorre again and calls on his fans to support him:
It is by no means the first time that Sheen, 45, has courted controversy.
Last year he admitted himself to hospital for a psychiatric evaluation following reports that he had been screaming and throwing furniture out of a hotel window in New York.
He has previously claimed that the US government was behind the 11 September attacks that killed 3,000 people in 2001.
