A GERMAN FATHER who disapproved of his teenage daughter’s 57-year-old boyfriend attacked him in his home and castrated him with a bread knife.
Helmut Seifert, 47, was furious to learn that his 17-year-old daughter was in a relationship with a man 40 years her senior, and went to police to complain, the Telegraph reports.
When he was told that the police could not intervene, he and two friends went the home of Phillip Genscher, 57, to confront him.
Local police released a statement about the incident:
The man was forced to remove his trousers and, fully conscious, he was castrated. The severed testicles were taken away by the perpetrator.
Seifert pleaded guilty to attempted murder and and will stand trial next year.
He told police: “I saw it as my duty as a father.”
