PAUL McCARTNEY HAS married US heiress Nancy Shevell at a London registry office.
The former Beatle tied the knot for the third time this afternoon in the same venue where he married his first wife, Linda. Just a small number of guests were present for the ceremony, including McCartney’s former bandmate Ringo Starr and George Harrison’s widow Olivia, the Daily Telegraph reports.
However, crowds gathered outside the registry office in the Marylebone area. The couple waved to fans as they made the journey from McCartney’s home nearby.
According to the Daily Mail, McCartney and Shevell emerged from the ceremony smiling to be showered with rose petals by relatives and friends, before leaving for a reception at his home.
Shevell, 51, the heiress to a transport firm, has a 19-year-old son by her first marriage.
