Oasis painting stolen, police sneak Oasis puns into their official statement

Someone on the Greater Manchester Police REALLY likes Oasis.

ON MONDAY MORNING, thieves took a black-and-white painting of Oasis from a gallery in Bury, near Manchester.

A window was broken to take the painting, so they must have been serious fans.

But not quite as serious as PC Katherine Gosling of the Greater Manchester Police, who was quoted in an official statement as saying:

Quite what the master plan behind this theft is I don’t know, but a local business has been broken into and a one of a kind piece of art work taken.

“This was the only piece taken and some might say we are therefore looking for an Oasis fan – similarly it may have been stolen to order. Regardless we are keen to find it and return it.

YYEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHH. OASIS.

Incidentally, the gardaí are also big fans of the Gallaghers’ work. Is it a police thing or what?
