Revellers descend on the Body and Soul festival in Westmeath

Music lovers and those into their contemporary art and the like are getting immersed in the muck and music in Westmeath.

THOSE OF AN Electric Picnic persuasion are likely to be impressed by what is on offer at the Body & Soul festival at Ballinlough Castle in Co Westmeath today.

Music lovers have been descending on the castle grounds today setting up camp for the two-day festival which plays host to music from the likes of The Field, Mount Kimbie, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Holy F**k, Toro y Moi and Darkstar.

It is also the location for permanent art installations and other eco-friendly arts with a custom-built bamboo stage, theatre, poetry, acrobatics and much more are expected over the course of today and tomorrow.

And with the rainy weather there’s likely to be a bit of muck as well. But things were looking suitably civilised early on today judging by these pictures:
