THE SCOOBY-DOO GANG are notorious for solving mysteries involving ghosts, ghouls and various other supernatural villains. They’ve even paid a visit to Zombie Island, but it didn’t look too threatening…
Photographer Jeff Zoet set out to change that. His impressive interpretation of the investigators switches the supernatural for the undead.
Zoet’s series of photos is titled ‘Scooby-Doo vs. the Zombie Apocalypse’ and pits the gang–Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, Velma and Fred–against a series of brain-hungry zombies.
Zoet, speaking to Mashable, is a lifelong fan of the retro cartoon and came up with the idea to modernise the gang after catching a re-run on TV.
The photographs depict the detectives as badass zombie fighters and portray them as being in actual life-threatening situations–a far cry from the child-friendly capers found in the cartoon series.
This needs to be made into a movie NOW.
