Taylor Swift accidentally released 8 seconds of static and it shot to number one on iTunes

A new artistic direction for the popstar.

TAYLOR SWIFT IS fast proving herself to be the unstoppable queen of tween. There is literally nothing the popstar can produce that her fans won’t buy and love.

This was evident yesterday when a glitch in the Canadian iTunes store caused eight seconds of static white noise to be released, titled as Track 3 from her upcoming album 1989.

Take a listen.

Despite just being literal ‘noise’, the track shot to number one in the Canadian store’s chart almost immediately, with a lot of confusion.

Despite the bafflement, fans we’re still digging it like the respectful Swifties they are.

The hasty downloading could have been down to fans assuming it was Swift’s track Welcome to New York which was released early in the UK. There’s also all those album preorders to take into consideration.

Still, that’s some musical power. Bow down. All of you.
