This event for getting cans in Tesco is quickly taking over Irish Facebook

EVERY SO OFTEN, the people of Ireland rally around a Facebook event and turn it into a goldmine.

There was Mass, there was this random Costcutter opening and now there’s “Gonna jump down to tesco for cans. want anything?”

Set up by a young man by the name of Ciaran Oscar Monaghan, the event reads:

you may give me a few quid for it now I’m not made of money. Ask your mates if they need anthing but I’m only going down the once

The ‘event’ is scheduled to take place on June 16th in Tesco Stillorgan and thousands of people have clicked ‘interested’ or ‘going’.
