Chris Pratt says Ellen Page’s claims couldn’t be ‘further from the truth’

Chris Pratt isn’t happy with reports which have been circulating since his appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last week, and took to Instagram last night to say as much.

It all kicked off when the Guardians of the Galaxy actor discussed his church and spirituality with the talk show host – something which compelled actress Ellen Page to question the church which Chris is affiliated with.

“But his church is infamously anti lgbtq so maybe address that too?” she wrote on Twitter.

Reports have stated that Chris is a member of Hillsong Church, but the church he attends is Zoe Church. However, according to E! News, the latter is seemingly modelled on the former.

Chris responded to Ellen’s remarks on an Instagram story last night, and insisted that the situation has been misrepresented.

“It has recently been suggested that I belong to a church which ‘hates a certain group of people’ and is ‘infamously anti –LGBTQ.’ Nothing could be further from the truth,” he wrote.

I go to a church that opens their doors to absolutely everyone. Despite what the Bible says about divorce my church community was there for me every step of the way, never judging, just gracefully accompanying me on my walk.

They helped me tremendously offering love and support,” he continued. “It is what I have seen them do for others on countless occasions regardless of sexual orientation, race or gender.”

My faith is important to me but no church defines me or my life and I am not spokesman for any church or any group of people. My values define who I am. We need less hate in this world, not more. I am a man who believes that everyone is entitled to love who they want free from the judgment of their fellow man.

“This is what guides me in my life,” he finished. “He is a God of Love, Acceptance and Forgiveness. Hate has no place in my or this world. Jesus said, ‘I give you a new command, love one another.’”

Ellen, your move.

Jennifer Lopez won’t have anyone telling her what to sing

At the Grammys on Sunday night, Jennifer Lopez participated in a Motown tribute, and people weren’t happy.

Posts on Twitter questioned why Jennifer, who is of Puerto Rican heritage, was taking the place of black entertainers in a tribute to the musical genre.

And Jennifer, who performed alongside Motown legend, Smokey Robinson, isn’t having it.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Jennifer dismissed the notion that she had no place in the tribute.

Any type of music can inspire any type of artist. You can’t tell people what to love. You can’t tell people what they can and can’t do — what they should sing or not sing.

“I’m very humbled and honoured to be able to have sung those songs,” she added.

Nicki Minaj says she was ‘bullied into staying quiet’ amid Grammys row

Nicki Minaj fans have been questioning how the rapper has never received a Grammy despite almost a decade of success in the music industry.

And last night, the 36-year-old addressed the matter on Twitter, claiming that she had gotten on the wrong side of Grammy boss, Ken Ehrlich.

Yep, that’s the same person Ariana Grande recently had beef with.

I pissed off the same man Ariana just called out for lying. Grammy producer KEN. I was bullied into staying quiet for 7 years out of fear. But I’ll tell my fans the REAL on the next episode of #QueenRadio they deserve the truth.

“Also, CONGRATS to everyone who won last night,” she added.

Nicki’s post has been liked more than 70,000 times.
