What is the thighbrow and why is everyone going on about it?

Another day, another buzzword. But what does this one mean?

IT’S THE LATEST buzzword in beauty that’s popped up in what seems like a matter of days. But it would appear to be confusing people more than it’s actually being used:

Yes, it’s the ‘thighbrow’.

Elle explains that it’s the trend that is set “to replace the thighgap” and sums it up as “a set of folds that frames the tops of thighs and separates leg from butt.”

So, something like these, created by high rise swimsuits

As they go on to explain, 2015 has been dominated by them (except the fact that nobody has used the specific word before):

If beached hotdog legs were for summer 2014, then thighbrows——are the erogenous zone of 2015.

Look says that people have been embracing them, and that it’s really a good thing

Not only do they agree that it’s the latest trend:

The new buzz word in internet trends, thighbrows are the part of the leg where the thigh and the butt meet with a fold.
If you look closely, the line is shaped rather like a perfectly sculpted eyebrow.

But they also say that it’s a positive development:

It’s also another wave in the amazing body-positive movement that’s sweeping the internet right now. Because, it’s pretty natural to sport a thighbrow.

Some people are welcoming it

But others are more like WTF

People will be watching to see how this one develops, no doubt.
