LAST NIGHT, RTÉ aired Tommy: To Tell You The Truth, a highly anticipated documentary following comedian Tommy Tiernan as he toured across nine European countries.

The tour was unlike any other tour Tiernan had previously embarked on in that the comedian improvised his sets each night. That’s right – no written material.

Viewers at home witnessed Tiernan step outside his comfort zone to varying results.

And let’s just say they had a lot to say about the whole thing.

Some declared Tiernan to be a genius.

Others were deeply unimpressed.

Some were intrigued by Tiernan’s experiment.

While others just felt plain uncomfortable.

Some actually thought Prime Time had more comedic value.

And there were stern words for those not enjoying it.
