LET’S TAKE A trip down memory lane, shall we?
1. Ryan Reynolds and Alanis Morissette
This pair went out for a whole five years, getting engaged in 2004 before finally calling it off in 2007. Morissette, of course, wrote an album about the break up.
2. Liam Neeson and Helen Mirren
Liam and Helen met on the set of Neeson’s first film, Excalibur, in 1981, and went out for four years, even moving in together at one point.
“I fell in love with Helen Mirren,” Liam told CBS in 2014.
Oh my god. Can you imagine riding horses in shiny suits of armour, having sword fights and stuff, and you’re falling in love with Helen Mirren? It doesn’t get any better than that.

Liam you sly dog! Brooke claims that the actor asked her to marry him twice during their three-month romance in 1992. She wrote in her memoir:
Liam wooed me with his brogue, his poetry and his shitty choice of Pinot Grigio… I was so impressed with going out with a real movie star.
4. Ryan Gosling and Sandra Bullock
Sandra and Ryan met while filming Murder By Numbers in 2002, dated for a couple of months, then called it a day. Look at them there.
5. Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin
Mila went out with Macaulay for EIGHT WHOLE YEARS starting when she was 16, and accompanied him to Michael Jackson’s funeral in 2009. The pair broke up in 2011, and Mila went on to marry her That 70s Show co-star Ashton Kutcher.
6. Jamie Dornan and Keira Knightley
Long before he was Mr Grey (or Paul Spector), Jamie Dornan was a model, and met Keira Knightley at a photoshoot. They went out for two years, wore some truly hideous outfits, and were “hounded” (Jamie’s words) by the paparazzi.
7. Jamie Dornan and Mischa Barton
These two were spotted out and about on numerous occasions in 2007, at the height of Mischa’s OC fame. Ah, the heady days of the 2000s!
8. Renee Zellweger and Damien Rice
It was all very low-key, but Renee and Damien did go out for a little bit in 2005. At the time, the Daily Mirror revealed that they “spent cosy evenings together in Irish pubs”.
9. Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz
Cameron and Justin went out for three years, splitting up in 2007 after Cameron got JT a part in Shrek the Third. There was no hard feelings though – they went on to star in 2011′s Bad Teacher together.
10. And Colin Farrell and Britney Spears
The Castleknock lad and Britney had an extremely brief fling in 2003, showing up at the premiere of Colin’s film The Recruit together looking like they were on the rollover. And maybe they were? Maybe they were.
