This might just be the most grim ham and cheese sandwich ever spotted in Ireland

And it’s gone super viral on Facebook.

WHEN A SANDWICH doesn’t live up to expectations, it can be quite the disappointment.

When Facebook user Ingrid Kelly received this ham and cheese Panini in Costa Coffee, she just had to take a picture and post it to the company’s page. It’s since gone super viral:

With what looks like a questionable amount of cheese and ham on there, she wrote:

Really Costa?? Ham and cheese panini. Disgraceful for €5.95. Two Lattes and Two Panini’s cost €19.10. I’m disgusted I paid for something that bad

Her post has received nearly 5000 likes and over 600 shares since being posted last Thursday – and you can see why it’s gaining attention.

Costa got back to her the next morning with:

Thanks for bringing this to our attention – sandwich does not look right at all – so sorry about that.
If you’re ever unhappy with anything you receive in store, please let a member of the team know, and they will only be too happy to replace it.

Costa then said they would investigate the matter fully.

The upkeep of the fine traditions of the Irish ham and cheese sandwich rely on it.
