This girl was the hero of last night's University Challenge

LAST NIGHT SAW the joyous return of University Challenge to BBC 2.

The quiz show is not only renowned for its fiendishly hard questions and patronising host, it’s also known for making occasional heroes and villains out of its contestants.

Last night, Hannah Woods from Peterhouse, Cambridge managed to fill both of those briefs, terrifying and delighting viewers in equal measure.

She had no time for Paxman
