LAST YEAR, THE Dead Rabbit in New York was named as the ‘World’s Best Bar‘.
The owners are from Belfast, but the pub doesn’t fit into the standard stereotype of Irish bars abroad – as they promised to challenge the more touristy places over on Times Square.
Word must be out about the place, because they have just had the best surprise:
Last night they had Liam Neeson drop in to the pub, and he came bearing gifts
Oh yes.
He gave them the Celtic cross he famously carried in Gangs of New York
Posting to Facebook this afternoon, the lads were only delighted with the new addition for the pub.
You don’t get much more New York Irish than Liam Neeson’s Celtic cross from Gangs of New York.
