YouTubers break the record for most selfies taken in an hour

How many selfies? A lot of selfies.

GUYS. YOU CAN relax now. The world record for the most selfies taken in an hour has been set.

Popular YouTubers Mark E Miller and Ethan Hethcote believe selfies are an “act of happiness” – so much so that last weekend they decided to break the Guinness World Record for the most selfies taken in 60 minutes.

It sounds like a fairly easy task, but strict rules were imposed by their Guinness World Records adjudicator.

Kimberly Partrick explained the rules to Miami culture blog Cultist:

The way this works is it’s not just one person taking photos of themselves, but they have to have a different person in each photo that they take. The challenge is about getting engagement from the crowd wherever you are.

On Saturday, Miller and Hethcote ran up and down Miami beach for one hour, asking every sunbather they came across for a selfie.

The previous record was 50 selfies – so how many did they manage to take? 355. Yes, three hundred and fifty five selfies, smiling all the while.

Naturally, the boys made a video about their experience – watch it here.
